When you come into the presence of God and spend time with Him regularly, you'll begin to realize that with your old heart, you can't do what's necessary to make you a godly person. In fact, none of us can make that transformation happen under our own power - and, fortunately for us, we don't have to.
The Bible says in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you." God offers us a heart transplant, one that is even more remarkable than a medical transplant of a physical heart.
Thankfully, not every one of us will need a new physical heart, but each of us does need a new spiritual heart, because we're born with a sinful nature.
Not even the most skilled physician can cure a sinful heart or give us a new and pure one. But God can and, according to His promise, He will. This kind of heart operation, at the loving hands of your divine and Great Physician, doesn't require major medical insurance.
There are no disclaimers and no deductibles. God offers this transformation to us free of charge. Praise God! However, it cost Him greatly - He gave His only son for our salvation - but it's a gift to us. All we have to do is accept it - no strings attached.
So, rejoice, and enjoy the blessings of a clean heart and a right spirit!
