Sometimes the pain of rejection can be so devastating that you feel like you want to die. We all have experienced it from one time or another, probably from someone we cared deeply about - a parent, spouse, child, friend, sibling, or possibly all of the above.
Yet we overcome the feeling of rejection. Jesus Himself also experienced and overcame rejection. If anyone knows pain, it's Jesus. The very people He came to teach and save were the very ones who nailed Him to the cross.
Yet in the midst of all His rejection, Jesus never abandoned the assignment that God had given Him. He never fought back against those who persecuted and rejected Him. In fact, He responded with love - love even for those who scorned, brutally battered, and ultimately crucified Him.
Jesus, our Lord and Savior, knows how you feel, and He offers to us His strength. When Jesus suffered on the cross, He bore our penalty for us. He paid the price for our sins. Then He gave us a promise: "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you".
No matter what happens, God will always stretch out His Helping Hand to you and never reject you. You'll never be alone again. All you need to do is place your hands in His. Allow His strength to empower you each and every day, starting today.
