A hurried life is a busy life. It's to run around like a headless chicken. Yet people, who are always in a hurry and chasing after all sorts of things, get very little done. They're always busy. They never have time for anything or anyone.
But no mountains ever move in their surroundings. Mountains stand as timeless sentinels, unmoving and steadfast in their presence, a stark contrast to the hurried pace of human life. While they may not physically shift, they embody a sense of permanence and resilience that we can aspire to.
In our own lives, it is critical to foster a sense of urgency without succumbing to haste. By approaching each day with a purposeful dedication to fulfilling our responsibilities with diligence and devotion, we can find fulfillment in knowing that we are living up to our potential.
Remember, it is not about racing through tasks but about approaching them with a sense of purpose and commitment, much like the unwavering mountains that grace the earth's landscapes. Be urgent, but not hurried. Do what you need to do for the Lord every day. Then you're doing enough!
Ecclesiastes 4:6 reminds us "Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind". In other words, it's better to have less and be content (with quietness), than to have more and constantly be grasping for further success.
Slow down, relax, and enjoy the blessings!
